the Girls Dorm for the breeding status and anticipated kidding
of our current does.
Sales Conditions - We offer discounts on multi-goat purchases and to breeders who will put our animals on milk test. All sales prices are quoted for animals picked up at Highpoint Farm, Denton, Texas. All shipping charges would be your responsibility.
No animal will be shipped until full payment is received; if you are paying by check, no animal will be shipped until the check clears the bank. We will not ship a dam-raised kid under 6 weeks old and we prefer they be 8 weeks old. Bottle-fed kids will be shipped at 4 weeks of age so that you can have time to bond with animal. Goats older than 8 weeks currently listed in the Sale Barn are available for immediate shipment.
We will ship by air from Dallas-Ft. Worth Airport to anywhere in the continental United States. We normally use American or Delta cargo or Pet Air, but we will ship with any carrier or method that you establish so long as the health and safety of the animal is a priority. All shipping charges are your responsibility. Shipping charges include, but are not necessarily limited to: crates/carriers, special veterinary tests, air fare and any other tests, documentation or fees required by the destination State. If you wish us to make the arrangements, all shipping costs must be paid prior to the actual shipment of the animal. We prefer that you send us your own crate/carrier for shipping or you can send us the money and we will purchase one for you.
If, at any time, you believe that the animal you purchased does not meet your needs or if your situation has changed and you cannot continue to provide the proper care to the animal, please contact us and we will work with you to reach a mutually agreeable solution.
Guarantee - We guarantee that any goat we sell is healthy and free of disqualifying faults at the time they leave Highpoint Farm. If the goat subsequently develops a disqualifying fault, we will take the animal back and refund your purchase price less the $50.00 deposit or allow you to select another animal from our currently available Sales List or allow you to request a kid from a specific future breeding. We know the health of our animals at the time of shipping and because shipping is known to be very stressful for goats and we cannot control that stress or the care they receive once they leave our farm, we cannot offer any further guarantees related to the health of the animal.
We do guarantee fertility in any goat we sell as a breeding animal and will replace any infertile animal contingent upon you providing a veterinarian's written statement that the infertility was genetic.
We cannot guarantee eventual height (although we strive to meet and maintain the height requirements of the AGS, ADGA and NDGA registries), color, or personality.
We do want you to be happy with your purchase, so if you are ever unhappy, please let us know so we can address the problem. Our best source of new customers has always been satisfied former customers.
Pricing - We have all types of goats to fit your needs - pets, brood stock, 4H, or show quality and we attempt to price accordingly. We offer discounts on multi-goat purchases and to buyers who will put our animals on milk test. We ask a $50.00 non-refundable deposit per goat to reserve unborn kids from a specific breeding; if the breeding does not produce the animal you requested, you may apply the deposit to another breeding or to the purchase of a currently available animal, or you may wait until the breeding is repeated and your request can be filled. Please note that because our kids are all raised on their dams, requests for kids bottle-fed by us will necessitate a price increase of $50 per animal, payable with the deposit. A $50.00 non-refundable deposit per goat is also required to hold any animal currently listed in our Sale Barn. The deposit on these animals will hold that animal for 30 days while shipping arrangements are finalized.
We want you to be pleased with your purchase of our animals, so we encourage you to read our Sales Conditions and Guarantee pages to avoid any misunderstandings.
We try to offer animals that are reasonably priced and the following is a general guide on how we determine our pricing. Refer to the Sale Barn for prices on specific animals.
- Wethers - make excellent pets and/or companion animals and are great 4H or FAA projects. Our wethers start at $75 for pet quality and may be priced higher for show quality. If you purchase a doe from us and need a companion animal, we charge $50. If the wether is for a 4H or FFA project, we do not charge for the animal, but you would be responsible for shipping, etc.
- Junior Does - Our doe kids start at $150 for pet or brood stock and prices increase depending on the conformation, pedigree, and show performance, if applicable.
- Senior Does - Our senior does start at $200 for pet or brood stock and prices increase depending on conformation, pedigree, kidding history, show performance, etc.
- Junior Bucks - Our junior bucks start at $175 and prices increase depending on conformation, pedigree, and show performance, if applicable.
- Senior Bucks - Our senior bucks start at $200 and prices increase depending on conformation, pedigree, show performance, and ability to produce quality off-spring.
Kidding Schedule - Because we maintain a small, select herd we restrict our breeding so that we have 3 to 4 does kidding in March; we do not plan any Fall kidding. Since all our kids are raised on their dam, this allows us to devote the necessary time to handling the kids to ensure they develop that loving, friendly nature for which the Nigerian is so prized. Reservations for future kiddings from specific does and/or bucks will be accepted on a first deposit received basis.
